The City of Altus is accepting applications for the position of an Electronic Technician, This is skilled work in wiring, inspecting and testing of all functions relative to the metering of electricity and maintaining all traffic signal installations and maintenance within the City of Altus. It involves following wiring diagrams, use of formulas and doing complicated calculations. This employee is responsible for installing and removing two-way radios and emergency equipment in all City of Altus vehicles, as well as maintaining the city’s radio system. They also make minor repairs to electric meters and maintain meter card files with histories of the meters, as well as deas with billing office and customers on billing complaints concerning metered demand and energy.
