Electrician- OMPA Ponca City, OK
Position will close on 3/19/2012 (or until filled)
Essential Functions:
-Install, alter, repair and maintain electrical automation systems designed to provide power, control & automation of equipment in a power plant, under the direction and review of the plant Maintenance Manager.
-Ability to install and use test equipment such as volt ohm meter, amp meter, relay test equipment oscilloscopes and breaker test equipment.
-Read and interpret electrical & mechanical drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts and troubleshooting procedures.
-Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
-Position, maintain and install power distribution and control equipment such as VFDs, Soft Starters, switches, relays, transducers, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures.
-Ability to install, repair, maintain and calibrate plant electrical equipment such as oil circuit breakers, transformers, generators, voltage regulators, metering, instrument transformers, high voltage switchgear and equipment.
-Execute switching orders, assist with plant Lockout-Tagout/Safety program and promote a safety cultures.
-Splice, join and connect wire to form circuits and then test these circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
-Maintain low, medium and high voltage switch gear & motor control centers.
-Knowledge and use of work management processes including planning, scheduling and processing work orders.
-Must be willing to perform all job related travel and perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
-4+ years’ experience as an Electrician or Electrical Technician in a heavy industrial plant environment.
-Knowledge of three-phase/single-phase/480/4160V motor controls, operating panels PLC’s and ladder logic.
-High School diploma or GED required (technical certification ro training a PLUS).
-Specific maintenance experience in a Power Plant environment is a PLUS.
-Electrician License is a PLUS.

Finance Director / Purchasing Agent- Altus, OK
Nature of work
Highly responsible supervisory and administrative position directing, monitoring, and planning all aspects of the Finance Department which includes supervision of the City’s auditing and computer systems. Responsible for the work of others directly or through staff. Work requires the exercise of discretion and is performed with considerable independence within the framework of established administrative policies. Duties require knowledge of purchasing procedures and polices in preparing and processing organizational purchase transactions. Work is reviewed by the City Administrator through observation and reports.
Tasks
1. Prepares the annual budget for the City and presents it as a recommendation to the City Administrator and City Council.
2. Monitors the execution of the budget to assure that all activities are carried out within limitations.
3. Devises, installs, monitors, and directs the general and/or cost accounting system and prepares reports for the City Council adhering to generally accepted accounting principles and State law requirements. Coordinates such accounting reports and procedures with the City Clerk/Treasurer and data processing personnel. Develops appropriate policies and procedures to handle the City’s procurement requirements.
4. Compiles monthly financial statements and performs financial analyses. Handles correspondence with bond attorneys, financial advisors and trustee banks for revenue bond information.
5. Evaluates internal accounting controls and implements control strengths where necessary along proper accounting/auditing procedures. Handles correspondence with City’s auditor concerning fiscal year audit and any other interaction with the auditor.
6. Determines the disposition of surplus, obsolete or scrap materials.
7. Ensures that purchasing activities are performed in accordance with established policies, ordinances and statutes. Prepares necessary reports and records.
8. Evaluates and rates job performance of staff and makes recommendations for advancement, promotion, demotion, and/or discipline as needed
9. Supervises a diverse team in a face paced, changing environment. Must be able to take on new responsibilities and manage departmental changes.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, experience and training required
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or public administration with training in finance and accounting. A CPA / MPA or MBA is desirable. Must have had at least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in all facets of public accounting, data processing, public finance, and purchasing responsibilities. At least three years at a supervisory level is desirable..
Supervisory responsibility
Serves as supervisor to a staff of employees, responsible for training, assigning and reviewing work, as well as performing similar work for less than 50 percent of the time. More than 50% of the time is performing higher level work or in supervision. Has additional responsibility of performance evaluation and may assist with hiring, discipline, and other such responsibilities. Leads team to success by mentoring, teaching and sharing processes in the finance processes.
Special certificates, licenses required
Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and acceptable driving record. CPA / MPA or MBA is desirable.

Electrical Lineman- Kingfisher, OK
The City of Kingfisher is seeking applications for the position of Lineworker (preferably journeyman). The successful applicant must have a high school diploma and lineworker experience. The applicant should have knowledge of power systems, including substations, protective devices, primary and secondary electrical distribution systems. Applicant must be knowledgeable of principles and practices, and must have a valid Oklahoma State CDL driving license.
Applicant will be given a pre-employment physical and drug test. Position will remain open until filled.

Electrical Lineman- Perry, OK
City of Perry now accepting applications for Electrical Lineman. Duties include install, change, transfer, move and remove pole, pole line hardware, guys, transformers, lightning arresters, streetlight equipment, energized conductors, insulators, conduit, capacitor bank controls and any and all forms of electrical material and accessories utilized in the construction, maintenance, and operation of electric circuits. Requirements include: Class B CDL, high school graduate, and ability to work in physically demanding conditions and unfavorable weather conditions while handling dangerous equipment.
