Chuck Hall of Perry was selected to join the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority Board of Directors at its monthly meeting on Dec. 8 in Edmond.
He takes over a board term at OMPA that will last through October, 2019. He will need to be confirmed by the electors at the Annual Electors’ Meeting in the fall of 2017.
Hall previously served on the OMPA board for six years during his time as Mayor of Perry. He resigned his spot on the board and his position as Mayor of Perry to accept a three-year term on the Board of the Directors at the Oklahoma City Branch of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank in December of 2013. Subsequently, Perry appointed another representative to serve on the OMPA Board.
Aside from his stint as mayor of his home town, Hall also is Chairman and CEO of Exchange Bank and Trust Company of Perry. He is the third generation of a banking family with a legacy spanning more than 130 years.
Hall was the Director of Government Relations for the Oklahoma Bankers Association from 1991-94.
The OMPA board also on Dec. 8 appointed Jim Greff of Prague to serve as its Treasurer. Greff joined the board in August of 2014 and has served as city manager at Prague for the last 10 years. He has worked for the city for 35 years in all.
