All Power Restored to the City of Newkirk

All power was restored to the City of Newkirk at 1524 hours today. The City of Newkirk lost power on Monday, July 14. A total of 15 138 kV (thousand volt) transmission line poles were knocked down due to high winds

We would like to thank the crews from the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA), Newkirk, Ponca City and Whitnah Construction for assisting OMPA during this restoration effort. These crews worked long hours in order to make sure power was restored to Newkirk.

We also appreciate the City of Newkirk for their patience and understanding during this situation.

All OMPA outage information is posted to our website and can be found at www.ompa.com/outages.
